Who is Black and the Moon?

Black and the Moon was started by Claire Goodchild in 2011. Claire is an award-winning artist, photographer, designer and writer from Toronto, Canada. She created the wildly popular tarot deck, The Antique Anatomy Tarot, published in 2019 by Quarto UK and Abrams Books, that features antique medical images, and she was the first person to create an Astrology themed oracle deck called the Arcana of Astrology which was published in 2020 by Abrams Books.

In 2022, her debut stand-alone book, The Book of Seances: A Guide to Divination and Speaking to Spirits, was published by Voracious Books. The sequel called, The Book of Ancestors: A Guide to Magic, Rituals and Your Family History, will be released October 2023.
